The kake futon (quilt) in this photo is a solid color, whitish quilt. If a patterned kake futon were to be placed inside this cover, the pattern would show through.
It is a very light but durable fabric. Wazarashi is a very soft and unique Japanese fabric. It dries very quickly and well even after washing.
This fabric has little brownish dots on it. They are part of the cotton plant.
They are visible because they have not been bleached. Please be assured that it is harmless to the human body.
